Artist Konstantin Evmenev
Artist Statement
Im contemporary artist. My professional identity was formed within the field of decorative art—in its broad, anthropological sense. It was precisely the decorative mind’s ability to abstract, to reveal the essential nature of a phenomenon without excessive narrative detail, that predetermined my path to abstract painting, non-objectivity, and expressive abstraction.
As a contemporary artist and cultural scholar, I am not interested in depicting objects, but in conveying a state, a vibration, an archetypal gesture. In this sense, my method is close to the principles of Pavel Filonov’s analytical art — but only as one point of reference. My perspective is shaped primarily by an interdisciplinary approach, connecting the act of painting with intuitionism, the psychology of perception, and the theory of cultural evolution.
The theoretical foundation of my work is neoevolutionism, in particular Leslie White’s energy theory. I view creative energy as a cultural constant, a way to transform chaos into an ordered visual structure. For me, the artistic act is not so much the creation of an object as the capture of an energetic impulse, translated into color, texture, and composition.
This explains my interest in “live” artistic practices, where the viewer becomes a participant in an energy exchange. I invite you to explore my contemporary art works, where this exchange takes on physical form in paint and texture.
Here you can buy or order my interior paintings or original stained glass. I accept commissions for art projects and the creation of artistic elements for interiors and exteriors.
To make your choice easier, I offer a wealth of informational materials. On this website, you can learn about my work, view completed projects, and read my observations. To order my services and products, please contact me via feedback or by email at evmenevart@gmail.com.

Monumental and Architectural Projects
My decorative thinking finds its fullest expression in the synthesis of arts. I create objects integrated into the architectural environment, working with a wide range of materials:
2006–2008 — interior design of the Bronnaya Synagogue, Moscow.
2012 — artistic interior design of the Ramenskoye Synagogue.
2022 — stained glass panels for the interior of the “House in Sarona” Synagogue, Tel Aviv.
In these projects I use techniques of stained glass, mosaic, forged metal, and ceramics — everything that allows me to move beyond the canvas and enter into a direct dialogue with space and light.

oil, acrylic, pastel — canvas, paper, cardboard.
